Do sellers really use the ignorance of buyers?
Have you ever been frustrated after buying a product? Have you considered the principle of entrepreneurs / salespeople? Overpriced item at all costs, default product defects, default product reviews, and so on and so forth. For some, this principle of work is acceptable, and in our opinion, we should be open with the customer in order to have a successful business. After serving the customer, we want him/her to come back to us and give us only positive feedback.
This time we will talk about the tricks of the sellers when selling goods, and we will use the heat pumps, air-to- water as an example.
When buying a heat pump, you should take into consideration a number of important factors such as the square of the house, energy class, whether the house is wooden or not, the type of heating (floor or radiator), or the room has many windows. Only after identifying each of the factors can a heat pump be selected.
Big Trick of Sellers
Having identified the properties of the house, the seller will offer you a cheaper option than other sellers. You feel happy and buy without thinking what lies behind it.
Using the ignorance of the buyer, the seller can simply suggest a weaker heat pump and claim that it will be enough to heat the house. Such dealers are comparing the performance of the device to an outdoor temperature of +7°C degrees. It may be enough to heat the house at such an outdoor temperature but one simple thing should be understood. The heat pump has the property of losing power at lower temperatures.
You should choose a more powerful one
What does it mean that a heat pump loses power at a lower temperature? This means that if your heat pump is running at full power at +7°C degrees, then the heat pump will lose some of its capacity - about 30-40% at -7°C degrees. As an example, we could say that out of the capacity of a 9kW heat pump, about 6-7kW would remain at -7°C degrees. Imagine what it would be like to hit a frost up to -20°C degrees!
Consequences
What happens when the heat pump loses some energy? In simple terms, the home will not be sufficiently heated. The heat pump gives priority to the heating of water in the energy supply. It is where most of the energy comes from, and in the event of a cold, other energy needs of the house may not be enough. People can put themselves in extra trouble in order to save extra money, so you should make responsible choices and consult with several different companies before purchasing a heat pump.
What to choose?
Heat pumps are currently dominated by companies such as “Mitsubishi Heavy industries”, Alpha Innotec” or Daikin”.
‘‘Mitsubishi Heavy industries” are probably the best-selling heat pumps because of their quality / price ratio. At an affordable price, you get a durable device that works really efficiently and smoothly.
In terms of price and quality, “Alpha Innotec” is the dominant market power. Prices are highest but quality is top notch. The heat pumps of this manufacturer are highly efficient, with the most efficient refrigerant and a 5-year warranty on their equipment.
“Daikin” is a little bit cheaper, it is also high quality but people are often frightened by the high price. So which manufacturer to choose? It is difficult to answer unequivocally, probably it is based on the thickness of your wallet. If your wallet allows it, choose “Alpha Innotec”, or if you want to save but still have a good deal, choose “Mitsubishi Heavy industries”
