SOCIAL ACTIONS AND WHY WE DO THIS
Healthy Life, Health, Family, Physical Activity, Opportunity to Create a Full Life. These are just a few words or phrases that some people cannot enjoy. Having lived a healthy life without suffering from serious illnesses, having a full-fledged family has a hard time understanding the life course of those who struggle with life and the traps it creates. Children without parents, children with incurable or mental illness, in other words, destitute people, are part of a society that does not receive enough attention.
Problems in Children’s Hospital, Oncology Department
Children with cancer are a painful topic. In addition to costly treatment, children with cancer need the simplest conditions to provide a good microclimate for children.
One of the conditions, or in other words, problems is insufficient cooling of the premises.
Corridors and some rooms are hot during the summer, making it difficult for children and staff to live and work. Looking around the premises, we found a physiotherapy department, where we talked to one of the doctors who said that the department was simply not paying enough attention to fundraising. The physician set up the children’s room at his own expense but there was a problem that he could not manage at his own expense. There is insufficient ventilation in rooms, it becomes hot.
The concern of the “Paguoda” Association
Given the fact that the state may not always be able to help everyone in the same way, various organizations or associations often lend a helping hand. In this case, the “Paguoda” Association and its leader, Daiva Žaromskienė, offered to help and arrange assistance to the cancer ward. This department is high-risk and children and staff need an exceptional environment and tools. One of these factors is the constant temperature inside the room and the draft-free environment as much as possible.
“Samsung” and “Gedarta” have extended a helping hand
Two companies, “Samsung” and “Gedarta”, responded to the call for help, and they helped the oncology department in joint efforts. Companies have shown that good work can be accomplished through collegial communication efforts. “Samsung” has given the hospital a new cartridge “Wind-Free™” air conditioner, and “Gedarta” has provided free installation services.
After talking to the clinic staff, they said there was a shortage of such conditioners because the next generation of conditioners really made everyday life and work easier.
Some employees said that they often have to wait a long time for an inventory update, so they should not have to dream about new indoor conditioners.
Exclusive conditioner
Knowing that the department is a high-risk unit, it has been fitted with an exclusive “Wind-Free™” air conditioner. The new generation of air conditioner features its own airless cooling which ensures that patients and staff indoors do not get cold and avoid additional complications. The microclimate created indoors will help to ensure smooth operation, a pleasant feeling and avoid additional complications. The air conditioner also has all the latest features for easy control and use.
Let us hope that such positive examples will inspire more companies that will be willing to help the authorities which really need help.
