Technology - Disaster or Salvation?
The Golden Age of Technology
The 19th century can safely be called the golden age of technology. This century has bestowed upon humanity geniuses such as Nikola Thesla or Thomas Edison, and the field of inventions has flourished. Numerous useful devices, tools, or other inventions have been invented for humanity. One of the most famous is the versatile steam engine, the first thermal power plant was built, dynamite was invented, the first airships rose to the air and this is only a small part of the invention. In the field of technology, humanity has taken a huge step but the rod unfortunately has two ends. Strong growth in production, resource use and disregard for the environment has caused enormous environmental damage. There was a long debate among scientists but action was taken quite late in the mid-20th century.
A modern start for international environmental policy
1972 is an important date for the environment. Then there was the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment (is also known as the Stockholm Conference). This conference is dedicated to discussing international environmental issues. It involved 113 states and over 400 international and non-governmental organizations. The conference is widely recognized as one of the major events marking the beginning of modern international environmental policy.
Real action
Unfortunately, people took real action later in the 21st century when the effects of climate change were already visible to the naked eye: heat/cold in unusual places on earth, fires, storms, hurricanes, typhoons and other anomalies. Apparently shaken and frightened, people have taken appropriate action: industry has begun introducing new technologies and reducing the release of toxic materials, people have been sorting trash, using electric vehicles, and states are seeking more energy from renewable sources.
Renewable energy sources: the salvation
Scientists are unanimous in agreeing that we can only effectively tackle climate change by radically changing energy production methods. We should replace traditional (non-renewable) ways with renewable ones. Heating your home with wood, coal or briquettes is a vestige. This is not environmentally friendly at all and expensive in the long run. An increasingly popular area is home heating using renewable energy sources which are becoming more accessible to everyone. Heat pumps - air to water is one of the ways and that is our future.
Heat pump – air-to- water, what is it?
Air-to-water heat pumps utilizing the energy of outdoor air are ideally suited for indoor heating. The air-water system is green, environmentally friendly and uses renewable energy sources. As for the size of the dwelling - whether you live in a small apartment or in a castle, air-to-water heat pumps can be installed in any area or layout of the home. The installation location of the indoor unit is completely irrelevant, so you can choose the location that suits you well.
Focus on the environment
Company Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems is investing in the field of environment, striving to be greener and introducing a new heat pump air-to-water “hydrolution”. This air-to-water heat pump is state-of-the-art for heating/cooling and domestic hot water. It is efficient because it saves energy and your money at the same time. It is also an eco-friendly option as this heat pump emits far less carbon dioxide than other similar heating devices. In designing “hydrolution” air-to-water heat pumps, great attention was paid to the environment, therefore, the latest technology is used in every manufacturing process.
HEAT -PUMP SPECIFICATIONS
The “Hydrolution” device belongs to the highest energy class A +++, so it is extremely economical but it does not reduce the power of the heat pump. It is 5 times more efficient than traditional heating products. The heat pump can heat water up to 58 degrees without any auxiliary electric heaters. The heat pump has a silent mode feature that reduces fan and compressor speed. The design of the device is convenient, so it does not take up much space, and additional features include Internet access. This will allow you to control the heating systems remotely.
It is gratifying that technological advances are contributing to environmental protection which is very important now. All of these achievements suggest that we are moving in the right direction, not only facilitating our lives and daily processes but also contributing to a sustainable society.
